Posted by Candice BLOGGER on October 18, 2017 at 10:20 AM Comments comments (0)

In my 26 months as a vegan I NEVER thought I’d see the day that vegan cheese would come to Pizza Hut. But it really has!! At least it’s for a trial at the moment in 5 of their restaurants across the South-East until November 26th. YES!

The trial is thanks to the 100% vegan wholesaler, Coffee & Cheese ( who reached out to the ‘Hut and offered to supply them with their new Violife Grated for Pizza.

STATEMENT RE: The future of VGN Summer Camp

Posted by TeenVGN HQ on October 16, 2017 at 6:05 AM Comments comments (0)

We’re sorry to announce that, for multiple reasons, there will be no VGN Summer Camp in 2018. However, do not despair as TeenVGN will soon be going through a rebrand and we have some very exciting plans for the future!

For the last 3 years we have run extremely successful camps and have changed the lives of lots of young people, having sold out months in advance every time! So failure certainly isn’t the reason for this decision. Whilst we never expected to get p...

Posted by Jenny BLOGGER on October 13, 2017 at 8:05 PM Comments comments (0)

I know some people would much rather support fully Vegan businesses, however, if you’re like me, you might only have the option of normal chain restaurants in your surrounding area. Personally, I will always eat at a fully Vegan place whenever I can, but I’m also always on the lookout for new Vegan options in popular chains. Here’s a quick guide to some non-Vegan restaurants and the options that they offer!

In case you missed us banging on about them on our social media, well-known US skate shoe company Etnies released a vegan shoe line! It was inspired by pro-skater and vegan, Ryan Lay who wanted a reliable and cruelty-free skate shoe that he could perform in.

So Etnies designed him one – The Jameson HT which is a vegan high-top made with all animal friendly materials including canvas and synthetic suede. The animal print version features a su...

How to stay Positive once going Vegan

Posted by Jenny BLOGGER on October 2, 2017 at 6:00 AM Comments comments (0)

Something that I was never told prior to going Vegan was the social, and sometimes even mental struggles that you may go through. It’s as if you become hyper aware of the suffering that goes on in the world once you go Vegan, and it can be difficult to shut off! It’s then so easy to become this doom and gloom person that has nothing positive to say– which was definitely me for a while. I’ve only been Vegan since February 2016, but I feel as if I’ve gathered a suf...

I’m going to go through some popular Vegan cheese brands and share my opinion on them in hope that it may help someone out with which plant-based cheese to go for in the future!

Follow Your Heart

I don’t think this brand can make anything that tastes bad, Follow Your Heart is just perfect to me; none of their products are too strong, and yet they all have flavour. You can't really go wrong with this brand, it's definitely a s...

6 Vegan Drinks that are Perfect for Autumn

Posted by Jenny BLOGGER on September 10, 2017 at 8:35 PM Comments comments (0)

Autumn is almost officially here and I am so excited. I love nothing more than cosying up with a warm beverage and a book mmm, so good. It can be tough figuring out which drinks are Vegan, especially when you’re out and about and haven’t got any Wi-Fi, and I know it’s disappointing that Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Latte isn’t Vegan, so I’ve compiled a list of drinks that are just as good.

Soya Chai Latte - Costa

How I started volunteering and how you can start too!

Posted by Jenny BLOGGER on August 27, 2017 at 6:15 AM Comments comments (0)

Volunteering is one of the most valuable things that I do in my life as it has taught me so much, from being more confident, to making friends, and even odd skills such as coppicing or handling exotic animals. I’d definitely recommend getting involved in volunteering to anyone. My very first opportunity came up through an event where I took a keen interest in an animal therapy company; I got talking to the owners and they offered me some work experience. Sometimes volunteering can co...

Activism for Introverts

Posted by Jenny BLOGGER on August 19, 2017 at 9:00 AM Comments comments (0)

Being introverted myself; I can certainly understand the struggle of wanting to help further the Vegan movement, but being pulled back by crippling shyness, or just not being able to be around a lot of people for a long period of time. I consider myself an incredibly passionate person who would love to be involved with protests, handing out leaflets, campaigning, working on stalls, and givi...
