I went to my second Vegan Life Live festival last month in the glorious surroundings of North London’s Alexandra Palace. I was really impressed with the number of vendors and products on display in 2017 and here is what I spotted and bought/drooled over this time around!
When we arrived, we queued up to get the free goodie bag (obviously) which included sample products from the show’s spon...Read Full Post »

I had heard about a completely vegan pub in Canterbury last year but hadn't yet had the chance to go and check it out. So when the opportunity came last month, I grabbed my mum and sister and made the hour journey over. And boy was it worth it!
The Monument pub is only a few minutes' walk away from the beautiful city centre and they are indeed a 100% VEGAN business i.e. all of their food, drink and bar snacks are plant-based products.

If you're already vegan, then chances are you'll know who Fat Gay Vegan is. His blog was one of the first that I came across when researching about veganism and looking for advice on places to find amazing food around the UK!
But if you're not familiar then he is Sean O'Callaghan - an Australian vegan of approx. 20 years who left his career as a schoolteacher to become a full-time blogger and animal activist who now also runs numerous events and markets in Lond...Read Full Post »

Blogging is hard work, and I don’t know whether people fully realise that until they have a blog of their own. Since I became a blogger a few months ago, I’ve realised how important and worthwhile it is to promote and appreciate smaller/growing bloggers. Although well established bloggers have beautiful websites, with stunning photos and great content, ‘smaller’ bloggers do too – and I actually spend the maj...Read Full Post »

Although Veganuary is coming to an end, that doesn’t mean we have to halt educating loved ones about veganism! Since over 140,000 people signed up to go vegan this month, I thought it could be good to keep the ball rolling and keep this conversation going! I’m going to share with you my advice on getting your family and friends to warm to the idea of veganism, bit by bit. Baring in mind, I’ve included approaches that have worked for me personally – what works for me, m...Read Full Post »

When I found out that my boyfriend was going to be touring Europe with his music project, Grumble Bee (excuse the small plug, ahem) including three dates in Germany, I jumped at the chance to go. And after some holiday website sleuthing, a long pre-Christmas weekend in the city of Hamburg was organised with my mum, sister and cousin!
I’ve never been to Germany before but I’d heard that it was very vegan friendly, so I did a bit of research online and ...Read Full Post »

First things first, Happy New Year everyone! It's January 2018 which means that Veganuary is well and truly underway.
Last month I was thrilled to be invited to the Veganuary 2018 campaign launch in London. The charity’s founders, partners Jane Land and Matthew Glover have already seen such huge success since launching it in 2014; each year inspiring and encouraging more and more people to sign up and try going vegan for Januar...Read Full Post »

So demand for vegan festive food products has lead to Tesco DOUBLING vegan and veggie Christmas food – and if that doesn’t tell you that veganism is here to stay, I don’t know what will. Supermarkets have really gone all out this year with the vegan products, even the vegan sandwiches (blog post on that coming soon). ‘Marks & Spencers’, a supermarket renowned for having a pretty poor selection of vegan food now has brought out a selection of vegan-frie...Read Full Post »

‘Yo Sushi’ is one of my personal favourites; I’ve never had problems at their restaurants, all of the vegan dishes are delicious, you can order HUGE bowls of certain dishes, and you can get 25% student discount. I couldn’t possibly list all of the options, but some of my favourites are, tofu katsu curry, pumpkin katsu, yasai yakisoba, and kakiage vegetable tempura. Also, if you aren’t eligible for student discount, I...Read Full Post »

When any VegFest event comes around I can never contain my excitement…or my wallet And this year’s London event saw a record-breaking number of visitors from around the country flocking to the city – Approximately 14,000 of them!! And with around 280 stalls it was one of the biggest vegan festivals in the UK thus far and that’s not including the yummy caterers.
I attende...Read Full Post »

Receiving a box full of vegan goodies each month is such a great feeling – it really has the power to turn your whole day around. There are more and more vegan subscription boxes being created each year and they are curated so beautifully and meticulously, there’s bound to be one that suits you.

In the news recently, a young bull escaped from a slaughterhouse in Brooklyn, New York and it was all over US TV as the authorities tried to catch him. Thankfully people from an animal sanctuary in New Jersey raced to his aid and he is now in their care, where he will live a happy and long life amongst fellow rescued animals from the meat and dairy industries.
The story got me thinking about how incredible animal sanctuaries and the people that run them are. They devote thei...Read Full Post »

Starting my blog a few months ago has been one of the best decisions in my life and my only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner. I find that having a blog has given me so many great opportunities so far and it’s only the beginning. I think it's a great opportunity to spread the vegan message in any way that you want to: from blogging about advice on how to go vegan, reviewing vegan makeup, or about the benefits of going vegan. If you’re interested in getting a job to do wit...Read Full Post »

In my 26 months as a vegan I NEVER thought I’d see the day that vegan cheese would come to Pizza Hut. But it really has!! At least it’s for a trial at the moment in 5 of their restaurants across the South-East until November 26th. YES!
The trial is thanks to the 100% vegan wholesaler, Coffee & Cheese (https://coffeeandcheese.co.uk/) who reached out to the ‘Hut and offered to supply them with their new Violife Grated for Pizza.Read Full Post »
